Peace Proms

Recently, the school choir participated in Peace Proms 2019 which was a wonderful experience and a night never to be forgotten.

The school choir started rehearsing for Peace Proms in October spending hours inside and outside school learning medleys and songs.  The first trip was to Blanchardstown in January, for a rehearsal with the conductor Greg Beardsell.

Finally the day came and on Sunday the 3rd of February at 3pm, 57 girls with teachers and parents set out on the journey to the RDS, Dublin. At 5pm, there was a rehearsal with the conductor, soloists and the Cross Border Orchestra. The show commenced at 7pm 2,500 children were eager to show everyone what they had learnt. Every member of the choir sang their hearts out to pop, boogie, Matilda and Greatest Showman medleys.

Overall, the Peace Proms 2019 was an unforgettable evening enjoyed by all!
